As the sport of kings, polo is considered the king of all sports. We no longer have the Kings. Now that we have the governments, we live in a much more structured and inclusive world. This sport belongs to those who have the qualities of a king. This G20 Exhibition match has been held to show that polo belongs to everyone who has passion for the sport irrespective of their background. This Polo match aims to build the spirit of sportsmanship in this region and to develop more world class polo teams from here. Additionally, it is aligned with Chandigarh’s vision of “City that Cares”.
G30 polo match 2023 is a unique opportunity to indulge in timeless traditions and discover the mysteries and magic of one of the oldest games in the world. The Polo tournament has been organized by Chandigarh Polo Club in collaboration with Chandigarh Police Department to create an opportunity for everyone to experience polo; in terms of knowledge; in terms of infrastructure; in terms of training; and in terms of creating opportunities for polo matches where they can showcase their skills.
The event has been organized in collaboration with the Chandigarh administration and Chandigarh Police Department. This region has a promising potential for players to come in and elevate the sport, and as a venue for polo, it will also help the sport flourish.
According to Dilpreet Sidhu, founder of Chandigarh Polo Club, “ To promote and encourage Polo in the region and making Polo accessible, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Polo Tournament 2023 (11th – 13th February ) has been organised as a unique opportunity to indulge in timeless traditions and discover the mysteries and magic of one of the oldest games in the world. The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Polo tournament has been organized by Chandigarh Polo Club in collaboration with Chandigarh Police Department to create an opportunity for everyone to experience polo; in terms of knowledge; in terms of infrastructure; in terms of training; and in terms of creating opportunities for polo matches where they can showcase their skills.
Chandigarh Polo Club
As the first polo-focused club in the region (Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh), Chandigarh Polo Club has been established to build the spirit of sportsmanship in this region and to develop more world class polo teams from here. Its mission is to enhance the accessibility of polo as a sport to the younger generation so they can represent this region globally. Chandigarh polo club, a polo visionary, believes that polo as a sport should be accessible to everyone regardless of their background. In addition to the G20 arena polo exhibition match, CPC is hosting the Maharaja Ranjit Singh tournament in partnership with Chandigarh Police in order to convey the message that the game belongs to anyone who has passion for it, regardless of their background. Further, it is in keeping with Chandigarh’s vision of “City that Cares”.

- You are cordially invited to experience a thrilling arena polo match of unforgiving goals and defences between Chandigarh Polo team and Le- Corbusier while keeping your audience on the edge of their seats.
- Followed by a spectacular display of equestrian skills is presented by the Chandigarh Police, culminating in a tent pegging demonstration
